Damaged Singapore $50 legal tender note?
I have accidentally left my S$50 note in my trouser pocket that when into the washing machine and now only left with about 3/4 of the note with one side's serial number still in tact.
I have approached the banks and they don't accept it, where else can I go for a replacement?
Hi,
Nothing much that you can do. But why not you try to use the note when topping-up your ezlink card or cash-in banking at the machine. Hopefully it works. Or donate the money to charity. Once the organisation found the distorted note, they will go to the bank. Sometime, the bank accept the note from the charitable organisation but not from the public in person.
